We are on the hunt for an exceptional Store Development Manager to join an exciting company in the midst of international expansion in the United States.
Our client, an international lifestyle beverage scale up, is looking to expand their brand in the US and take the coffee shop sector by storm!
As the Store Development Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that a well-defined strategic plan and the execution of new store openings are implemented. You will be managing all aspects of the new store development process and the opening process, to support our client’s rapid growth in the coffee chain business.

Key responsibilities as the Store Development Manager will include:
Take charge of new store project management, including estimates, contract negotiation, permitting, build-out and lease negotiation
Participate in the development of new store design objectives to meet company vision of appearance, quality, quantity and costs
Collaborate and support both construction and store design, setting clear guidelines of new store standards for architects, designers and contractors
Familiar with store opening and permitting process, optimise and expedite license permit process where necessary
Implement processes and manage reduction of store costs as they relate to construction, pre-opening, and possession dates; Identify cost saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement in construction processes through project management
Lead projects from concepts, all the way through to completion, and then continue to support the store teams through facilities channel
Develop and implement quality control procedures to achieve high quality standards across all new store construction sites
Presenting progress of projects to senior teams and other key stakeholders
Manage assigned projects plans and deadlines effectively
Manage project file storage, ensuring project documents are kept up to date throughout the life cycle of projects and beyond
Support cross functional teams with any information requests relating to construction or store design
Manage invoice coordination and processing for all functions relating to new store build and design
What we’re looking for:
Extensive experience managing a retail or restaurant new store rollout
Experience in construction management in retail and general contracting
Knowledge of design and construction process
Experience in retail management
Organization and prioritisation skills; Ability to work alone and as part of a team
Strong presentation skills with an ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Ability to utilise sound business principles and practices to project management
Ability to build relationships across different functions of the Company; Ability to manage and resolve conflicts

5+ years of store project management, from start to finish
