UK Sales Manager – International Scaleup – Competitive Salary + Bonus

We are looking for an exceptional Sales Manager, with demonstrable success in the flooring industry (or similar) in the United Kingdom, to join a leading company in the flooring industry in the midst of international expansion.


Our client is one of the world’s leading flooring manufacturers with integrated R&D technology centres, world class production facilities and professional sales teams actively distributing their brands throughout the world, covering over 128 countries and regions.


The UK Sales Manager will be responsible for setting the UK sales strategy and managing the UK market growth to both acquire and build long term relationships with clients, open new sales channels and sell the products nationwide.


This new role needs someone with exceptional sales and business development skills; a strong leader with a creative and innovative outlook coupled with experience working in a fast-paced, forward-thinking organisation; someone who can demonstrate a strong track record in a commercially successful sales and management role.


You will be strategic, commercially minded and results focused with excellent negotiation and presentation skills and the ability to initiate, build and maintain business relationships.

Key responsibilities as the US General Manager will include:


  • Developing the UK sales strategy and plans to meet or exceed sales targets

  • Building an excellent reputation and brand for the company as the leading flooring suppliers

  • Generating leads, visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs, promote products & services

  • Building long term relationships with clients

  • Giving sales presentations to prospective clients

  • Owning key negotiations and supporting and guiding the team in closing deals

  • Overseeing the sales process including negotiating all contracts with prospective clients; preparing and submitting sales contracts for orders; obtaining deposits and balance of payment from clients; taking care of customer claims

  • Preparing weekly and monthly reports

  • Meeting or exceeding sales targets

What we’re looking for:


  • Extensive experience in a Sales Manager / Head of Sales role

  • Previous sales experience in the flooring industry is preferred

  • Strategic and commercially minded with the ability to plan and execute the full sales strategy in the UK

  • Results focused with demonstrable evidence of achieving ambitious sales targets in the past

  • Possession of a relevant client target list for sales is ideal

  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills

  • Strong leader with excellent interpersonal skills

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make data driven decisions

  • IT literate with strong MS Office

  • Career focused, hungry and motivated to succeed

  • Ability to undertake travel within the UK
